Dr. Larenas-Linnemann received her MD cum laude in 1992 at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands. In 1995 she received her title as Pediatrician and in 1997 as Pediatric Allergist at the National Institute of Pediatrics in Mexico City, Mexico. She has been working in private practice since 2001. That same year she founded the pro bono Allergy clinic in Pueblo Quieto. In March 2017 she was appointed Director of the Center of Excellence in Asthma and Allergy at the Hospital Médica Sur, Mexico City.

Dr. Larenas-Linnemann is an internationally well-known and highly regarded expert in the field of allergy (special fields of interest: asthma, allergen immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis, urticaria). She is National Advocate to GINA (2020-), ARIA Country Coordinator Mexico (2012-) and coordinated the national ARIA México 2014 document. She chaired the National Urticaria Guidelines late 2014 (summing >90,000 downloads). In 2016 her center became a Center of Excellence UCARE. She forms part of the Global expert panel of the update of the Urticaria guideline 2017. In April 2017 the Mexican Guideline on Asthma was published under her leadership, co-authored by 58 experts from 12 national societies. Its content forms the basis for CME on asthma of CENAPRECE, from the Ministry of Health. Since jan2019 she chairs the International Severe Asthma Registry (ISAR)-Mexico. She co-chaired the Mexican Consensus on Atopic Dermatitis end 2018 and chaired in 2019 the Renewal of the Mexican Guidelines on Immunotherapy. Dr. Larenas-Linnemann has lectured at National Allergy Congresses, the AAAAI, ACAAI and EAACI annual conference, and the World Allergy Congress. Dr. Larenas-Linnemann has published over 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals, written various book chapters and is reviewer of 7 journals. She became member of the National System of Investigators, level II, in January 2016.

Breve reseña

La Dra. Larenas-Linnemann recibió su MD cum laude en 1992 en la Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht en los Países Bajos. Recibió su título de Pediatra (1995) y Alergóloga Pediátrico (1997) en el Instituto Nacional de Pediatría, Ciudad de México. Trabaja en la práctica privada desde 2001 y en marzo de 2017 fue nombrada Directora del Centro de Excelencia en Asma y Alergia en el Hospital Médica Sur, Ciudad de México. La Dra. Larenas-Linnemann es un experto internacionalmente reconocida y de gran prestigio en el campo de la alergia (campos de interés especiales: inmunoterapia con alergenos, asma, rinitis alérgica, urticaria, dermatitis atópica). En 2012 fue nombrada Coordinadora Nacional ARIA para México y en 2014 reunió a once sociedades nacionales para desarrollar el documento transculturizado: ARIA México 2014. Ese mismo año presidió las Directrices nacionales sobre el Diagnóstico y tratamiento de Urticaria, que se publicó en una revista indexada y desde entonces ha recibido más de 53,000 descargas. En 2016 su centro se convirtió en un Centro de Excelencia UCARE. Ella forma parte del panel de expertos de la guía mundial de Urticaria 2017. En abril de 2017, bajo su dirección, se publicó la Guía Mexicana sobre el Asma, que reunió a 12 sociedades nacionales y 58 expertos en la materia. Su contenido es ahora la base de CME para el asma de CENAPRECE, del Ministerio de Salud. Por ello ahora forma parte de la asamblea internacional de GINA. En septiembre de 2018, apoyó la publicación del Consenso Mexicano sobre Dermatitis Atópica y finalmente en junio 2019 presentó la Renovación de la Guía Mex de inmunoterapia. La Dr. Larenas-Linnemann ha dado conferencias en sesiones plenarias, conferencias magistrales, simposios y discusiones y talleres de expertos en conferencias como los Congresos Nacionales e Internacionales (EEUU, Europa, Mundial) de Asma y Alergias. La Dr. Larenas-Linnemann ha publicado más de 150 artículos en revistas indexadas con revisión por pares y ha escrito varios capítulos de libros. Se convirtió en miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, nivel II, en enero de 2016.
